Paul Lofeodo b. 1994, Tkaronto/Toronto, Canada Paul Lofeodo is an interdisciplinary artist based in Tio'tia:ke/Montréal. Having grown up in Toronto and then Montréal, he pursued an undergraduate degree at Concordia University, where he studied Photography and Sociology. His work investigate the roles of normative systems, authority and violence in the formation and circumscribing of subjectivity. Research around images of violence, the representational practices that birthed them, and the process of abstraction are central to his process. His work has been exhibited in groupe shows including for the Art Matters festival (Body Works, 2017), Somewhere Gallery (Mementos of Self, 2020) and the Rad Hourani Foundation (WE, 2021), as well as a solo exhibition at the Maison de la culture Côte-des-Neiges (Arrière-fond, 2023).
